Freight turnover of transport in Russia in the first half of the year increased by 1.7%

Freight turnover of transport in Russia in January-June 2019 increased by 1.7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 2 trillion 823.8 billion t-km, according to the operational report of Rosstat .

In particular, the freight turnover of railway transport increased by 2%, to 1 trillion 307.3 billion t-km, road transport - by 7.2%, to 127.1 billion t-km. Pipeline freight turnover increased by 1.3% and amounted to 1 trillion 342.5 billion t-km. During the reporting period, the cargo turnover of sea transport decreased by 6.3%, to 17.4 billion t-km, inland water transport - by 3.1%, to 26.1 billion t-km. Air freight turnover decreased by 6.2% and amounted to 3.5 billion t-km.
