Railway export via ports
The loading of export cargo through Russian ports on the Russian Railways network for three quarters of 2019 increased by 2.5%, amounting to 228.2 million tons. According to Russian Railways, coal accounts for less than half of the volume (48.3%) of the total export freight traffic of Russian Railways. At the same time, during the reporting period, there was an increase in coal loading by 8%, to 116.1 million tons, including to the ports of the South, it increased by 31% (up to 10.3 million tons). Loading of solid fuel at ports in the North-West increased by 6.5% (up to 41 million tons) and in the Far East - by 6% (up to 64.8 million tons).
Oil accounted for 26.3% in the structure of export cargo traffic, ferrous metals - 8.7%, fertilizers - 6.9%. For 9 months of this year, the loading of export cargoes to the ports of the North-West amounted to 96.8 million tons (+ 2.9% to the level of 9 months of 2018), to the ports of the South - 55.3 million tons (-1.2%) ... Loading to the ports of the Far East amounted to 76.1 million tons, which is 4.8% more than in January-September 2018.
In September this year, the loading of export cargo to Russian ports amounted to 25.3 million tons. This is 1.9% less than in the previous month.
